North Western Ontario

What a country. Rough, Wild, and Wonderful. The views more than make up for the drive getting here. If you ever have the chance, drive up and breath the fresh air along with viewing some of the best scenery in North America. The winters are rather harsh though, but for those that like to snowmobile it can be like heaven.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Oh, for a return trip to the head of our great lakes. A wonderful and very scenic part of North America with Lake Superior providing a major portion. Small towns dot the landscape every 60 miles or so, but most of the country remains the same as centuries ago. Rossport, at almost the far northern location, was once a bustling fishing location for lake trout, but now remains as a small village for those still wanting to remain close to nature. Although the closest major city is Thunder Bay, there is an excellent B&B in Rossport and smaller motel accommodation in Schreiber.
