This 50 mile plus drive south to Sault Ste Marie from Montreal River highlights Lake Superior as there are many occasions when you appear to be within feet of it. Also it shows the natural state of Canada`s hardwood forests and the rugged landscape, but Lake Superior overshadows that.

John`s Recollections - 2011

Have travelled this road so many times that it has now become part of my vivid memory of the greatness that our planet exhibits. This particular clip on the highway south seems closer to Lake Superior and the views are excellent. If you are in the area and close to Lake Superior, take the time to stop along the road and walk down to the shore and feel just how cold and clear the waters are.
