Across the central plains farm fields. Many crops in the area.

John's Comments

Early morning drive thru very flat terrain. Not as expected as there were many crop fields in the area. Ground was rolling hills and flat, with streams and small rivers in most places.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Not as expected. This portion of Interstate 80 was rather flat with farming the main employer. One would of expected with Chicago so close it would have been more industrial. Several major rivers cross the highway including the Mississippi at the Iowa border.
