Looking forward to visiting the North rim of the Grand Canyon is no excuse for not taking your time. Terrific scenery along the way. There are times when ones` expectations are overriding in decisions made, but here, with the north rim of the Grand Canyon in our sights, time was taken, and terrific scenery and landscapes were not bypassed in the pursuit of the original goal.

Even though it was early in the morning ( at least for myself ) this drive was very eventful. It passed over the Colorado river, ran along the "Wall" that overlooks the Grand Canyon, thru the scenic flat lands on top of the wall, and then on the return from the North rim it went thru the Kanab forest preserve. I enjoyed this drive as much as the North Rim.
