Redwood Forests in Northern California show nature at it's highest

John's Comments Driving thru this area one is not able to see the sky, the treetops are part of it and it was almost like passing thru a tunnel. Quite impressive and worth the trip. The tree branches cover the road and sunlight has a difficult job of reaching the ground. It is not until you stop & get close that you really notice the tremendous size of the redwoods.

Trees ten feet wide, some actually big enough to drive thru. One actually has to see it to believe it. Looking from the base upward they seem to go on forever with such a straight line.
