San Francisco - Wharfs to China Town
California

Trip Planning logo

Downtown San Francisco, with the bridge in the background, and with Alcatraz even a bit closer.

John's Trip Comments Most sites can be accessed easily from the wharf area, so that is a good place to start. A walk in the wharf area of San Francisco provides the opportunity to view Alcatraz, the Cable Cars, and a chance to eat at one of many fine seafood establishments. Good shopping at Pier 39 and and even the chance to have your pictures taken with a walrus.
John`s Recollections - 2009

Have been there twice and would go back again. This is really a place where there is so much to do and so much more to see. Adding the new ball park required the second trip back with Larry, however have yet to visit Alcatraz and take a ride on the Cable cars. Need more than a day or two to see and experience the area.
