South Dakota's newest Interstate Information Center on Interstate 90 just east of Chamberlain has as a focal point is a 55-foot keelboat, modeled after the keelboat the Lewis and Clark expedition used as they traveled up the Missouri River.

John`s Recollections - 2009 An area where farming, especially corn, is the prime industry. Near Mitchell corn is very plentyful but as you near Rapid City crazing crops begin to take over. Land is very flat with the Missouri River providing a scenic break along the Interstate.
