John's Trip Comments The moisture in the air made for slower driving than normal, but the scenery still had that wilderness feeling, and once the coast was sighted the Pacific Ocean waters showed their magical qualities.
John`s Recollections - 2009

Even though a slight rain descended, it helped to brighten the green colors of the surrounding woods and made the drive one would expect in this north eastern state. Even the mist gave the effect that this land is part of nature itself. Crossing the bridge that separates Washington and Oregon showed the power and width of the Columbia river.
