Truly the most impressive single sight that I have seen. Stands out by itself from almost 100 miles away. The drive up the mountain to the lodge and the short walk beyond helped to bring the size more into perspective.

John`s Recollections - 2009

Get within 50 miles and it is hard to escape the attention that this mountain commands. For a single item this view is one that will last forever, as it is so noticable for such a long period and distance. The drive up the mountain to the lodge ( still a long way to go after that ) is quite the feat. Here, weather did not fully co-operate as fog, mist and clouds obscured much of the surrounding scenery. Clouds lifted later to show the mountain in it`s splendid glory.
