John`s Recollections - 2009

Until one actually sees the destruction it is very difficult to comprehend. Trees were flung about like matchsticks and river bridges were destroyed by the mud stream that followed the eruption. The drive from Interstate 5 on Hwy 504 to Mount St. Helens gave hints along the way of the destructive force of the volcano eruption.
